#11 - Right field sucks (1937)

Building the Wrigley Field bleachers in rightfield during the 1937 baseball season

Wrigley Field canvas print #11: The year 1937 is remembered for the North Sider's solid year, with Charlie Grimm managing the clud to a 93-61 record but second place finish to the New York Giants. More memorable, perhaps, was the construction that took place during the season, with the building of bleachers, as seen here (Sheffield view) and a new hand-operated scoreboard, which rules the roost to this day. The renovations would be unveiled in September 1937.
